Laboratory Grade Countertop Products

Western Specialty Fabrications, Inc. is a proud supplier and fabricator of Durcon counter top work surfaces. Originally used in laboratory settings, these products can also be used in commercial, residential, and industrial settings. All products are manufactured in the United States. We specialize in “fast track” and custom countertop fabrication.

Traditional epoxy resin: Epoxy resin countertops are the industry’s standard laboratory grade material, offering the greatest combination of physical and chemical resistance properties, as well as superior heat and flame resistance.

Greenstone: Durcon’s exclusive epoxy resin work surface material with a minimum of 10% post consumer recycled content. With recycled content and low VOC levels, Greenstone features the same performance levels as traditional epoxy resin, while minimizing the impact on our environment. The use of Greenstone positively impacts the environment and may help to achieve LEED Credits.

Solid Phenolic Compact (SPC): SPC work surfaces are functional and decorative surface options that can be used in a wide variety of both horizontal and vertical applications. SPC products have FSC availability, are Greenguard Gold Certified, and LEED friendly. These surfaces are available in three grades, each based on meeting specific performance solutions.

We also offer laboratory grade sinks and troughs in epoxy resin and Greenstone, drying racks in all three surfaces, and related laboratory accessories.
